Michael Van Bebber is a trumpeter, teacher and composer based in Seattle. He has performed with many notable jazz artists including: Lee Konitz, Branford Marsalis, Walt Weiskopf, The Woody Herman Band, Johnny Mathis, The Four Tops and many others. He currently directs two Jazz bands at Roosevelt High school and is a regular member of the Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra, The Jay Thomas/Michael Van Bebber Quintet and the 5th Avenue Theatre pit orchestra, among other ensembles. He has written and published the popular book “Charlie Parker 60 Melodies and Solos” which has been endorsed by Ted Nash, Juilliard professor and Grammy-winning saxophonist.
